PROPOSAL - GO WILD SELBY – SUMMER 2024

· Successfully delivered in Goole (3 years), Hessle (1 year) and Leeds (5 years)

· Funding from various sources: HAF, Wind Farms, Health Service, Local Authorities

· Targeted at families requiring reliable, quality, secure provision for children aged 30 children aged 7 – 11 from 29 July 2024 – 24 August 2024 from 9 am – 3 pm.

· A need across the region for provision that is reasonably priced for families on the cusp (working poor)

· Lunches supplied for FSM children, breakfast snacks for all children.

· Sessional, qualified staff deliver a structured programme around environment, health and well being and life skills (team building, confidence, leadership skills etc)

· An innovative programme in place to enable children to engage, learn new skills, make friends, and have fun in an outside environment which is good for mental health, resilience etc.

There is a need for this provision in Selby

Groundwork Yorkshire is proposing to replicate the Goole scheme in Selby for 30 children utilising Selby Park over summer 2024.

Cost of full programme: £27000

I have applied to FEAST for £4114.75

Income from parents (£10 a week – based on 20 parents) - £800
